Loose Leaf Tea – Gunpowder Green

Gunpowder green is a form of green Chinese tea.  The tightly rolled balls of tea open up in hot water producing a strong and tangy aroma with a soft grassy taste. Rolling the leaves makes the leaves less susceptible to damage and allows them to retain more of their flavour and aroma.

Serve with fresh mint for a Moorish touch.

Green tea leaves produced in Zhejiang Province of China, are tightly rolled and resemble gunpowder pellets.
